PORTALS NOUS

Just west of Illetas is Portals Nous, regarded as the best address in Mallorca. The marina at Puerto Portals is the focal point – a glitzy strip of expensive restaurants and designer boutiques overlooking endless rows of multi-million euro yachts. It looks like Puerto Banus, Marbella’s swanky harbour, though the local council claim Portals Nous marina is far superior, and even the best in Spain.

Nearby is the similarly exclusive Royal Bendinat Golf course, whose honorary president is the King of Spain.
Given all this, it’s no surprise that most property for sale in this area is the preserve of the well-heeled, as you’ll see from the pine-shaded avenues of beautiful mansions, many of which provide perfect hideaways for the rich and famous. However there are apartments and lower cost homes for sale as well.

The proximity to Palma, excellent golf courses and international schools nearby, the marina, and year-round activity (which is unusual in most parts of Mallorca) make this a highly sought-after location among foreign second home buyers.

The most luxurious villas are found around Costa d’en Blanes, starting at around 1.0 million euros for a three-bedroom villa with sea views.
Luxurious apartments can be found at Portals Nous and Bendinat, some in condominiums directly overlooking the golf course from 220,000 euros for a one-bedroom apartment.

In Portals Nous village you can buy a three-bedroom townhouse for around 400,000 euros, or villas from around 1 million euros. Large new apartments in Sa Vinya, Bendinat, cost from 600,000 euros, or from 475,000 euros in Ses Oliveres in Bendinat. A five-bedroom villa in Old Bendinat will cost around 2.5 million euros.
