If you fancy a spot of rural seclusion and outstanding natural beauty, how about four million square metres of forest set amid mountains and a nature reserve? That's where you will find Nuevo Torre Guil in the Frondoso Valley - a new residential development of houses and maisonettes in the beautiful Sierra de Carrascoy reserve in the Murcia region, due for completion in June 2007.
Yet you needn't worry about being isolated because the historic and cosmopolitan city of Murcia is just 10km away on the MU-603 road. Plans have also been approved for a road to link the urbanisation with a junction of the Murcia-Andalucia motorway and the Murcia-Cartagena motorway, so you are perfectly placed to zip around the region which boasts an unspoilt 250km coastline.
Set in a slightly elevated position in the valley, and protected from the wind by the mountains, Nuevo Torre Guil extends across 1.1 million m², with properties divided into two sections. The first area is now complete, with detached houses, semi-detached houses and apartments available. The Centre for Education and Environment Studies is located on this site, so facilities and services such as 24-hour security and direct transport links to Murcia are good.
The second area, still under construction, will also have all these services when it is complete. Here there are townhouses (two- or three-bedroom), semi-detached houses (two- or three- bedroom) and maisonettes (ground or top floor). High quality local materials, such as traditional roof tiles, Spanish marble stairs and wrought iron, are used in all properties.
Townhouses are around 88m², with terraces leading off the bedrooms, a roof solarium, a back patio, a garden and a private parking space. Two-bedroom townhouses range from 169,600 euros to 193,800 euros. There are also corner three-bedroom townhouses available from 209,000 to 253,500 euros.
