The Costa Cálida
is one of the most up-and-coming regions in Spain for holiday-home
buyers and investors. Running from Murcia down to Almería,
the region has traditionally been overshadowed by the more developed
Costa Blanca to the North and Costa del Sol to the West.
But now, due to its fantastic year-round climate with endless sun
and very little rain, hundreds of kilometres of sandy beaches and
unspoilt and dramatic inland landscapes, the region is tempting foreign
buyers. Property prices here are still very reasonable, compared with
the busier neighbouring stretches of coastline, and the infrastructure
is improving rapidly, with low-cost airlines flying to Alicante, Murcia
and Almeria airports.
The Costa Cálida encapsulates many of the charms that draw
so many foreign buyers to Spain, from popular and lively resorts such
as La Manga, Mojácar and Roquetas del Mar to charming and traditional
inland towns around the Almanzora Valley. |
