CALA MILLOR

About 15km south of Arta is one of the best-known resorts in the east of Mallorca: Cala Millor, and neighbouring port of Cala Bona. It is a lively tourist destination, particularly popular with British holidaymakers and, increasingly, second home owners. The highlight of this beautiful setting is the 1.5km sandy beach fringed by pine woods.

House prices here are cheaper here than in most areas of the island and show good potential to rise. There is a wide choice of new-build or existing apartments available here, with prices starting at 115,000 euros for a one-bedroom apartment within walking distance of a beach and golf course. For a two-bedroom frontline beach penthouse, you will pay around 300,000 euros.

New developments are springing up inland, or you can find rustic fincas in the surrouding countryside with panoramic views of the sea. Villas in this area cost from 400,000 euros.

There are three golf courses in the area, at Son Servera and Canyamel and the nearby Costa de los Pinos is a popular holiday spot for Spanish celebrities.
